I’m a military brat, plain and simple.
I was born in Ohio but shortly after, we moved to North Carolina, where I spent close to 13 years living, breathing, and growing up as a Tarheel. Once my dad retired, we moved back to Ohio to be closer to family. Obviously, I had no choice at the time. I vowed to move out and head back south at that time, yet 20 years later, I’m still here.
I chose the name Lost in Ohio because truthfully, after 20 years of living here, I still feel out-of-place. Don’t get me wrong; if I hadn’t moved here or if I had moved out when I wanted, I wouldn’t have met my awesome wife and of course, having 3 awesome kids together. But there’s just something about the south that seems to keep calling to me.
That’s it, really. This blog will serve as my personal diary, if you will. Thoughts, ramblings, weekend adventures…you name it, I’ll more than likely post it.
Maybe one day I’ll find my way out of here.
